We are proud to be part of the CT-DEEP water quality monitoring program. In 2023 we joined CT-DEEP for the measurement of total alkalinity, dissolved inorganic carbon and spectrophotometric pH. This important time series will track the acidification trends of Long Island Sound (LIS) to help inform long term climate trends, management decisions and the shellfish industry partners. We sample monthly from October to May and biweekly from June to September.  This work builds on our previous research in LIS covering 2022 and 2023. Barrett et al (2024) Front. Mar.
